Kathleen Ryan speaks on solar

Kathleen Ryan, with 19 years working in the solar industry, spoke at the Save Solar public meeting in Barton this week. Here she writes on her experience (18/9/14):

"They cheered me on and I delivered a speech with the key message that it beggared belief that when we are the cusp of solar greatness that the Government could employ a simplistic policy with no compelling policy narrative! 

"I asked why can’t the Australian Government’s objective  for solar be: That Australia will once again be a great leader in the field of solar, a shining example to the world in deploying renewable technologies. 

"I asked that the Australian government should build upon the national solar capabilities and drive Australian solar success by allowing the Renewable Energy Target to continue!"
