
I visited Greenland in August 2016 and the above photo forms the background of our 2016 Christmas card. The photo is the evening light over Illulissat and Disko Bay, well above the Arctic Circle, on the west coast of Greenland. The icebergs in the middle background have already calved from the glacier but are marooned on the seabed until they melt sufficiently to float free (into the harbour).
